Used YELP to find a local Thai place when we were in Panama City. Excellent reviews led us here. Food quality was excellent Service was some the best we've experienced Location is small and cozy Prices were good Can't wait to go back when we're in PCB again.

This was a great find while on vacation! It was hard to make choices because the menu was extensive. Thai and Sushi..... Two of my favorites! Nice staff with good service. We will come back here next time we're in town.

The wife and I were looking for a quality seafood restaurant while vacationing and decided upon this one based on several rave reviews. We walked in to a deserted restaurant save the 4 or 5 servers/cooks and were greeted by smiles and a lot of attention to our 9-month old. One waitress even picked her up(after asking) and let her play with some Mother's Day balloons while we decided what to order. The Thai fried rice was delicious but the sushi for which we made the trip was mediocre at best. The crab and salmon rolls were both a little flat and my wife's Hurricane Roll was nothing spectacular. We did receive fast service though and everyone was extremely hospitable but if we go back it won't be for the sushi.

The service and sushi were excellent. The specialty rolls are huge. The Spider Roll was especially good. Explosion of flavor. The only reason I docked a star was because the atmosphere was lacking a bit. The workers spent much of their time gathered at a front table talking loudly and doing paperwork. It didn't ruin the food, but was distracting.

The decor is minimal. Pad tai was really good. Much to my surprise the chicken fried rice was amazing. This is a clear gem. Be prepared.....this is not a buffet. So buffet goers this not your spot. It was not a busy place for lunch. The food was very good, but being on a budget we did not get to try the various types of sushi. However, the quality of what we ate and observation of other lunch goers said that the sushi is also worth it. A definite try.

My wife and I were surprised at our poor experience since this restaurant had such great reviews on Yelp! The atmosphere was passable, but the food and service were terrible. Ginger dressing was incredibly spicy and inedible. I ordered the 8 piece sushi appetizer as my main meal and the server brought it out before the salads even. Not just that but we noticed that it only contained 7 pieces of sushi. When we asked the server she said that it comes with seven pieces (even thought menu clearly says 8). She did begrudgingly bring us an additional piece. Overall, the food was just okay, the service not so much and we definitely will avoid the place in the future.

Finnegan has eaten a lot of shush, especially after living in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of the past two years. The sushi at Oishi Thai Restaurant is very good as the ingredients are very fresh; a pleasant surprise located on Hwy 79 near downtown Panama City Beach. Sorry, we don't eat Thai when we are there; we're sushi fans and it is among the best offered locally and the service is very good. Highly recommended. Not dog friendly but service dog friend, of course!

Terrible! The serve girl looks new one, and she seems couldn't understand English. It's TOO SLOW for serving food. We had been waiting for more than one hour for all our food get ready. You have to pay bill by yourself at front desk. I ordered SEAFOOD PRIK POW, it was terrible test.... Won't back anymore and do not recommend.

Great job on the sushi! We were a little skeptical by the look of the place from the outside but their sushi was great. Please do not discount our taste for sushi since we are from the midwest. The price for the rolls were very reasonable and the added asparagus in our roll was a nice surprise. We were mildly concerned but it must had been cooked some as the texture was perfect for enjoying. The spring rolls were also very good. Our favorite roll was the Fire Dragon Roll. Overall, great value. We would recommend this place to any of our friends traveling through.

We played at the Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach! The group was wanting to test our palates on Florida Thai, so we arrived at Oishi. When we arrived we got their right before closing. The place was quiet with 2 other people in the restaurant and here come 4 semi intoxicated musicians with super high expectations from the yelp reviews. All I have to say is I was never a big Thai food fan until my life was forever changed by all the wonderful flavors I was about to experience in Thai Food Heaven. This place is bar none THE BEST Thai I've ever had, everything ordered was the bomb I wish I could tell you what it was but The Whisky had me seeing double but absolutely did not effect my tongue. Give it a go 10 fingers up!!!!

I used to always do a pick up order here and when I recently tried to, they had said they are too busy to accommodate my order and to call another day. This service that all restaurants offer is typical for this region and to suddenly say no to this request is preposterous. An order is simple, make it when available, give a time frame for pick up, and have the customer pick it up and you get PAID. I do not understand the problem. Until better service is provided, I'm ok cooking my own Thai food instead of dealing with the rude woman on the phone who told me to not make this order. Though I'll miss their noodles, it's not worth dealing with the lack of service and will only accommodate you when it pleases us attitude. Consistency is the heart of all services in every industry. And this idea is lost apparently to this establishment.

Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken sans peanut sauce. It was served hot so I had to wait for it to cool, which was great and it was just the right amount of spicy. Salmon sushi was great

Stopped by Oishi last week at my wife's insistence that it was a winner, and boy was she right. We were the first to arrive for dinner service and, at first, I couldn't tell if she was pulling my leg. My concerns were put to rest the minute our Rainbow Roll hit the table. It was quite possibly the best sushi roll I've had in the Southeast. My only regret is that I played it safe for my entree. I went with Pad Thai (I know, I know), asked for it spicy, and they delivered. Next time I'll branch out for sure. The best part of the experience, however, was the service. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and even went out of their way to create some sort of bug-eyed creature out of an orange for my children. A+

Horrible bad business! We came hungry at 936pm and were told that they could only make to go orders because they close at 10. Unacceptable and they need to work on appreciating their customers more. That cook that instructed the hostess to tell us that will feel awful stupid and out of a job if the restaurant has to close due to no money coming in. We will take our money elsewhere to businesses that actually want to sell food!

Way better than its sister restaurant, Ketana, which happens to be on the trashier side of PCB. The two restaurants are essentially identical. The menu is pretty extensive, which is bad for an indecisive person like me! You must get: the spicy crab roll, panang curry with chicken, and the tom kha soup! The spring rolls and veggie stir-fry were satisfying but nothing to write home about. The homemade coconut ice cream was also delish! Service was great. If I ever come back to PCB, I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

If I could break it out, it would be 4 stars for service, one star for the food. Wife got the fresh spring rolls, and she said those were good (I didn't try them... I don't like lettuce). Wife also got the beef pad thai. She thought it smelled and tasted fishy. I tried it and it didn't taste or smell terribly fishy to me, but I generally don't like pad thai, so I'm not the best judge of the stuff. The beef was quite tough, though. I ordered a rainbow roll and an alaska roll. Beware that they seem to slather all of their sushi with an orange mayonnaise based sauce. It was just underneath the rainbow roll, so I could scrape off the bottom layer of rice to remove it. The sauce was built into the DNA of the alaska roll, so I couldn't eat more than a piece or two. Also, wayyyy too much rice in the rolls. I found myself eating all of the rainbow roll so I wouldn't upset the waitress (she was nice). It was difficult for me to recognize the avocado as avocado in the rolls... It looked like egg. Overall, the sushi was well below average. If it had been take out I wouldn't have eaten any of the sushi at all. Serves me right for ordering sushi at a Thai place. We ordered the pad woon sen also (we hadn't gotten the sushi yet, so we figured the pad thai might have been a fluke). That was decent, but still not above average as far as Thai food goes. Also, the shrimp was a bit undercooked and greyish. As I said, all of the waitstaff was nice. We found ourselves spreading food around on the plate to make it look like we ate more than we did because we didn't feel like telling them we didn't like it. We won't be going back.

My wife and I both had soup and pad thai. We both enjoyed our soups but the Pad thai was pretty mediocre and definitely greasy. The atmosphere was pretty sterile but the service was very good. I'd probably give it another try if I was in the area again but it's not anything I would be excited about. I would only recommend if you are really in the mood for Thai food.

Clean, quality Thai and friendly staff that is always attentive to the needs of the customers. I recommend the Red Curry dish with chicken. Have had lunch 3 times in the last month and service and food were consistent.

Returned and it's every bit as good as we remember. Excellent Thai food. Tried it for lunch, I had the Panang curry with chicken and my husband had the spicy seafood fried rice. We were both totally impressed. Good size portions, well seasoned with great service. One of those rare places where it will be difficult to try something new since we both loved the entrees we tried. Prices reasonable, $10/person range for lunch.

I went here tonight for sushi only to find that the sushi chef was in Japan learning her trade. Why then does it still get such a high review? Well the Thai food was delicious! And the staff super friendly and attentive. I had a soup and an eggplant dish and I cleared my plates. The jasmine tea I had was both pretty and delicious. The dropped a tea ball into a pitcher of hot water and I got to watch it bloom while waiting for the tea to steep. When I was done I was presented with a half an apple to cleanse my pallet. If there is one thing you should know, my GPS had me turn the wrong way on 79 so if you don't see the place where you GPS says it is, you can look down the other way.

Great service! Great food! Reasonable price for any budget. NO LONG WAIT for a table! Walked in, was seated, had drinks in less than 5 minutes. The seaweed salad was AMAZING! Their sushi was very tasty and the presentation was top notch.

Really good food...but the service was absolutely atrocious. Almost not worth coming because of the service and disrespect. Very unfriendly and extremely rude. It's ashamed because there food was really good...barely even acknowledge there guests when they're speaking to them.

Our last night in town here on vacation and since our hotel was down the street, we walked over to Oishi. We love Thai and love sushi even more. The place was small and looked a bit weathered, so we were a little nervous, though we were craving sushi. We are so glad we gave it a chance. We ordered three $8 rolls, and they were big. We got 8 pieces for each roll, and they were amazing! We ordered the Dancing Eel, Shrip Tempura, and Beauty & the Beast. All were so delish, but our fave was the Beauty & Beast (half eel/half tuna) with cucumber and avo. We then ordered a $12 roll: King Dragon (wow!!!). We also ordered two appetizers: Chicken Satay and Fried Dumplings. Both were really good. This place is so reasonable and so dang good. Next time we come back we'll try the Thai, but it seems the reviews are all positive for that too.

I am shocked that this weird little house on the outskirts of this crazy beach town serves exceptional thai food. It's a little quirky and you will find that the staff really don't understand english very well, but they're very nice and the food is completely legit. I tried the tom kha gai. I probably wouldn't get it again because it was a little sweeter and watery than usual, but only slightly. It wasn't bad at all. The green, massuman, and panang, curries were all extremely tasty! My friend ordered the pad kee mao and said that it was delicious. I didn't taste it but I could tell that the noodles were nice a fat even from where I was sitting The Thai tea here is wayyyy too sweet. Even for Thai tea. I haven't tried the sushi, but I probably wouldn't. They are good at thai food, so just stick to that. Even coming from Houston, where thai food is very plentiful and delicious, I thought this place was really good! It's near impossible to find good, non-touristy food in PCB, so you should definitely keep this place is mind!

Spectacular. The watercress salad is one of the most enjoyable plates of food I've ever had. The cashew chicken was fresh but a bit boring; try one of the curries instead. Sushi pieces were huge. Variety of Asian beers available. Our server could be better - never asked if we wanted a drink refill. To the guy whose review says, 'we had to pay at the front', we didn't, and who cares where you pay? This place is great, can't wait to go back. Very, very good food.

It looks like a broken down shack from the outside but the Thai food inside is the best. Don't dress up. Remember we're talking Panama City Beach here. T-Shirt and sandals are dressed up enough. You'll look like a tourist if you wear new clothes, so don't. Relax. Service: The Chef's daughter waited on us and did an exceptional job. We started with fried dumplings and Thai fish cake made with shrimp. The cakes were spicy, but not hot spicy. they definitely woke the taste buds. Both were very good. Next we had Tom Yum Kung, (Shrimp in spicy lemon grass soup), and Po-Tak (seafood with basil and lemon grass soup). Amazingly fresh ingredients. Again, not spicy. For dinner we shared Seafood Combo with the best mussels we have ever had, as well as Pad Ped Talay, (shrimp and scallops, string beans, and bamboo shoots). Yummy. I don't generally eat squid and they were more than happy to put in more scallops for me. Dessert was shared, a Mango with Sticky Rice. Delicious, although at that point we didn't need it. When you go, and you must, make sure that when you order (if you like spicy) that you say "Spicy but not Thai spicy" that way it will be spicy but not fire spicy. This was our second time and both times it was excellent. Next time we will try the Duck Pad Ped, crispy duck with basil, chili, and garlic sauce. We have eaten in some of the best Thai restaurants in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Europe. This is definitely one of the best. A rough jewel right here in PCB. Please support them so they don't go away.

I got the Papaya Salad with Sweet Pork and Sticky Rice. The rice was covered in coconut milk and it came with some red seedless grapes. It was all delicious! Don't waste the calories on the coconut ice cream though. It wasn't great and didn't have the accutrements you would find on the streets of Bangkok. There is something wrong about coconut ice cream with chocolate sauce instead of Carnation Cream.

Located on Highway 79, this place doesn't look like much from the outside. It's in a kind of duplex. The door on the left is the entrance to a barber shop. The door on the right gains you entry to Oishi. We went here for lunch today and were immediately greeted by the sweetest, most helpful server I have had in a very long time. She brought out a complimentary Thai Cold Coffee for my mom to try (since she wanted hot coffee, but they didn't have any). I asked for suggestions from the menu and she made some great ones! The food presentation was great! The food is fresh and the flavors are wonderful! "Pad Eggplants" with chicken and a side of rice ($7.95) was delicious! So flavorful and the eggplants were cooked perfectly. "Papaya Salad Sweet Pork & Sticky Rice" ($14.95) was one of their daily specials today. It was a giant plate of food! And everything on it was a so tasty! The sticky rice was covered in a sweet coconut milk. Yum! "Pad Ped Talay" ($9.95) and "Seafood Pik Pow" ($9.95) each came with a side of rice. Both dishes contained shrimp, squid, scallops, and mussels and everything was quite delicious! Not too spicy. Just right! At the end of our meal, were were stuffed (and I didn't even eat half of my food!). We declined dessert, but our sweet server brought us a plate of freshly sliced watermelon and honeydew anyway. It was a nice way to end the meal. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean and feels open, not cluttered, even though it is kind of small. I think there are only about 6 or 7 tables, each seating 4 persons. Bottom Line: You MUST try this place! I will definitely be back for their Thai cuisine. Next time I would like to try their sushi as well!

I have tried all of the Thai restaurants in Bay County multiple times and I'm certain that Oishi is the best one BY FAR. The service is great, very friendly staff. I love to order the Massaman curry and my new favorite is the Crispy Spicey Eggplant. OMG!!! Soooooo goooooood! The Fresh Spring Rolls are yummy too. Well, before I list everything on the menu let me just say that its all great and not too pricey either.

We ate here last Saturday at 6:00 pm. We ordered Pad Woon Sen and Pad Thai, with the crab apple salad for appetizer. Everything we ate was superb and the customer service was wonderful. The waitresses have always been extremely friendly and courteous; the food is always excellent, and it is always easy to get a table, especially at their larger new location. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area.

I stopped here only because they offered both Thai and Sushi. I couldn't decide which I was in the mood to eat. :) The red tuna sushi was extremely fresh. I am gluten intolerant and can't use soy sauce that sometimes masks the non-fresh taste of fish. So I WILL send sushi back to the chief when I don't like it. My Thai choice was Panang Curry Chicken spicy. The meat was tender, sauce was perfect, and portion size was ridiculous. I just finished the other 1/2 of it for lunch and I'm really stuffed. The service and presentation was excellent as well. You can expect to find them on 98 down the street from their current location next to McDonalds in about a month. Their new place already has the sign up.

If you're looking for a decent Thai restaurant in Panama City Beach, you should drop by here and give it a try. We ordered chicken satay, veggie pad thai, and Panang Curry. The pad thai was delicious to my standards. Since there are many ways people cook pad thai and it all tastes different. But I really liked this one, it had a lot of flavor. The Panang Curry was great as well. They all had great thai flavors. Chicken satay is definitely as must have. Service was okay. Many of the servers are young and energetic. Our server had a little bit of a language barrier, but it was fine. The decor of the restaurant could be better.

Order take out last night.. Approximately 15mins.. Chicken pad Thai, chicken pad see ew and chicken satay... Pad Thai: felt dry.. Lack of sauce seasoning. Good amount of bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and one lime. Presentation ok but I felt it was way too dry and did not have the stir fry effect. Pad see ew: one of the best I had so far. Right amount of sauce ingredient. You can taste the spiciness from the ground black peppers(I had ordered regular. They asked if you would like regular, spicy, or extra spicy. Don't ask me why but I've been to many Thai restaurants before and never do they ask you when it comes to stir fry rice noodles of any kind how spicy you want it lol but this was the first place)... Right amount of chicken. Same presentation like their pad Thai(shredded white cabbage/purple cabbage along with couple slices of naval oranges). Chicken satay: chicken breast was way too cooked. Bland in some area and was not evenly seasoned. The sauce that comes with it is was not the traditional brown sauce. This was more of a vinaigrette sauce(totally way off). Overall, if I would do it again when coming back to visit PCB and the establishment is still open, I'll stick to the Pad see ew. I will pass on the other two. This is not your traditional Thai restaurant if your asking me. I've had better elsewhere.

The only nice thing I have to say is that the spring rolls were tasty. Now that's out of the way, avoid this place at all costs. Service was spotty. A different server came to table each time...which wasn't often. We went on a very quiet Sunday afternoon. Servers outnumbered the customers. All the servers and cooks were sitting at a table, eating and ignoring the handful of customers inside. I split two of the chef's special sushi rolls and an order of curry noodles with my friend. The rolls were awful: poorly constructed and huge. The noodles were barely seasoned and overcooked. I left still hungry and didn't even bother with a takeaway box.

First time in PCB! Staff were quite attentive. Food came out pretty quick. Started off with the Thai iced teas and some apps. Then, the entree came out. Lunch is served. Everything was great and tasty. Wouldn't mind stopping by on our next visit to Panama City Beach.

An alternative other than deep fried seafood is always welcomed in my searching of good restaurants at PCB. Oishi Thai matches the profile. Thai plus Sushi, one stone kills two birds. I went there twice for late lunch since the restaurant is busy in evening. Even though staffs were taking breaks during less busy business hours, they still managed to get everything for us quickly. Drinks were ready in 3 minutes and food on table in 10 minutes. It was by far the fastest service I experienced at PCB. My favorite dish was the Thai salad. Portion was perfect for one person and still left appetite to order either a snack or entree. Ingredients were fresh and in small bites size. Dressing was slightly sweet but the flavor of Thai basil and lime juice neutralized it. The TomYum soup was very pleasant. However, it did appear sweeter than any other TomYum soup I had tried in various Thai restaurant in USA. My taste preference is more towards to sourer and spicier, but it doesn't stop me giving applause to the quality itself . The crispy spring rolls were adorable. The slim wrap gave an elegant presentation of the dish. The stuffing is vegetable base and accompany with a sweet peanut sauce. Another sweet dose. Our waitress brought the seasoning tray to mix my own sauce. Sashimi sample is a good starter to share with 2 people. On the plate were sashimi salmon, yellow tale and tuna. Since it was a starter, the cut was rather thin. Fresh fish indeed. Sushi roll came with 8 large pieces. My 'Sunset Roll' was well made. Rice was loosely rolled, and the softness of the tuna combined with crunchy tempura shrimp gave a pleasant chewing experience. Both lunch cost average 60 dollar including alcohol drinks and tips. It is quiet reasonable for a restaurant on the beach. It is not the best Thai restaurant I have tried, but it is by far the better one on PCB.

The food is extremely salty unbelievably. I asked the waiter if they recently changed the chef. And he said they did apparently. To be honest, I have been here a couple of times before every time I visited PCB. The food used to be very tasty and authentic, but today was such a disaster with a large amount of salt has been added to all our dishes. Moreover, they never came over to ask if everything was okay, didn't even bother to refill out water. In conclusion, stay away from this restaurant if you wanna enjoy a decent lunch and less SALTYYYY!!!

The interior is very nice compared to get exterior. Very casual and friendly. We ordered a lot of food because SOMEONE skipped lunch and wanted the whole menu. The tuna sashimi was ok. It was a thin slice. The dragon roll was good, but a bit mushy. Good amounts of eel and avocado. I love crab Rangoon and these were ok, but Thai thought it was really good, oozy and cheesy. It has real cheese so that kinda threw me off. The wonton is a bit over fried. Sauce isn't spicy at all. The fried spring rolls are ok. The larb gai was really good, very flavorful. I would've liked it with cabbage or lettuce on the side so I can eat it like a lettuce wrap, but it was good, especially with the strawberries. The fried rice was average to me. I guess fried rice isn't good without Chinese sausage! The pad thai was good. It wasn't saucy at all, but tasted like the flavor was in the noodles itself and didn't need the sauce. It was just the right amount of flavor, not too sweet. The pad eggplant was really good and flavorful. Excellent over rice. I wish there were more eggplants and the slices were bigger. I would definitely come back! Great hole in the wall place.

Their whole staff sat down with a whole spread and ate lunch while still getting up to service us, thought it was a bit out of the ordinary. Fried rice was good, chicken teriyaki was mediocre. Ordered sushi with only shrimp and the waitress spoke little English and thought I said NO shrimp... I had to repeat myself several times, and still got it wrong but was correct after the second time.

This is a very good Thai restaurant. My partner and went early on a Sunday for lunch. No crowds. The interior was clean and decorated with a lovely Asian flair. We started with the combo appetizer plate. Everything on it was delicious! The spring rolls were light and crispy. My only criticism of this plate was that the satay dipping sauce was vinegary and not enough peanut flavor. I also had the Tom Kha Gai soup. Mmmm, so rich with chicken,(you can order it vegetarian too) herbs and coconut milk. Very, very delicious. Our main courses were the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and shrimp panang curry. I thoroughly enjoyed the curry. The sauce was rich and spicy. I ordered it a 3 spicy on a 1-5 scale. My partner loved the fried rice. Our shrimp was tender and succulent. Perfectly cooked. We loved it so much that we ordered to go for later. I got the Pad Thai noodles and she got the crab fried rice. Both were ordered 3 spicy. My partner thought it was too hot, but they were perfect for me. The Pad Thai was a little dry and lacked peanut flavor. The fried rice was replete with tender crab meat. I recommend this restaurant highly.

I rate my restaurant experience on 5 things Atmosphere Service Price Food Wow -atmosphere- The atmosphere was great, nicer than typical Asian food place. It was Mother's Day and they had roses and maroons for moms. -service- Service was great, they checked on us often but gave us our space since we were obviously out on a date. -price- Prices would range from normal to high for a sushi place. Several rolls for 10-11 a few below 9 and a few above 14. We did not look at the Thai menu. -food- The food was excellent. I got the Front Beach Roll, the Sushi Bomb roll, and the Spicy Tuna Roll. All were great but the spicy tuna really blew me away. For a normal generic roll they really put their own flavor twist on it and it was great. -wow- The spicy tuna roll made me go wow. The uniqueness of it was great. Along with the presentation of 4 rolls on one plate and the fact that they let my wife customize hers and put mango on top made her feel great as well. OVERALL Overall this was a very pleasant experience. I'm happy that there is such a good sushi place in this popular of a tourist destination, unless we hear otherwise, this will be where I recommend people to go.

If you are looking for decent sushi and Thai food this place is definitely a hidden gem. However if you come here expecting some sort of customer service you are out of luck. The waiters would forget to bring half of us dishes and utensils. On top of that I would have to ask multiple times just for a simple spoon. Then not to mention charging me for an extra plate of food I didn't receive. Overall, the food is good but I wouldn't come back because of the lack of service my family received.

Previous reviews left me believing this would be a satisfying Thai meal...not so much. Appetizer - calamari had excess batter to calamari ratio :( not worth it...flavor was okay but too bready. Rainbow roll - standard roll but it was loose and heavy on rice. Wouldn't waste more money on rolls here. Flavor was fine just not a place I'd frequent for sushi. Pad kee mao - another pretty typical dish that can be compared across Thai restaurants. Sad because noodles are pretty huge and flavorless. Spice was good (asked for 4/5) but otherwise a no repeat. Pickled baby corn was an interesting twist, never had in this dish before and can honestly say don't need again.

Poor service, food was ok but nothing special. It's what you would expect though for a "Thai/sushi" place in redneck filled Panama City. The Thai iced coffee was huge and tasty though! Pad see ew was salty and a small portion.

The sushi was exceptional. Had a variety of main courses with yummy sounds all around. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Rangoon slightly over cooked but great flavor. All in all a flavorful start to or vaca.

This was the last stop for some of us before leaving PCB, and we came in early on enough where we were able to still get lunch pricing, and prior to more people coming in. There was 14 of us so getting everyone's drinks and food orders took some time. We all got our meals in a timely manner, and service was top notch. The food, however, was different than what I am accustomed to for thai. Granted, I'd say I've had some of the best thai food from Cali and Ga so I'm a tad bit biased but... I felt it lacked authentic flavoring and was a tad bit Americanized, which is understandable given the area that they are located. We ordered multiple dishes ranging from appetizers to entrees. Everyone left satisfied, and there wasn't too much of a complaint. Not too bad of a meal to end my amazing trip :)

Pleasant surprise. Spicy spicy spicy...had pork kaprow. Lemongrass soup could have had more veggies. Curry chicken soup, with coconut milk...again more veggies would have been perfect.

Great restaurant. Ambiance and food are a welcome change from the standard fare in Panama City Beach. Had the red curry vegetable and samples drunken noodle with tofu. The food appeared incredibly fast and was fresh.

Great service. Tasty food and generous on the sushi. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs a sushi fix.

We had Beef/Veggie Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, seafood combo and Mango w/ Sweet Sticky Rice for dessert. All good. Thai tea is tasty too. The most amazing part is They Open on Christmas Day.

Sorry to say I wasn't that impressed. My husband ordered the Pad Thai. It was over dressed and just tasted off. I had the Watercress Hot Fire. It was a bit salty and I thought it would have a hotter spice level. But my mother-in-law did love the Chicken Red Curry, as well as, the Chicken Dumplings. We came to this restaurant because of the high rating on Yelp. Unfortunately, Yelp, you let us down. Though I will say that service was great.

Not impressed. Pretty bland taste on the shrimp fried rice. My wife said her sushi was 4 stars. The crab rangoon's were bite sized and tasted like they came from a frozen food box which was pretty weird. Went in for carryout and it was pretty hot and stuffy in there. I wouldn't recommend it or go back.

Not. Impressed. My husband and I were in town for a week and this is the restaurant we chose for our dinner, date night. I sit here at my computer with terrible heartburn, as I type. Who gets heartburn from salad and sushi? We ordered salad, edamame, nigiri and two rolls. Let's start with the garden salad. The dressing on this salad was extremely spicy. I can tolerate a fair amount of spice, but this was too much. Probably why I have heartburn. I even commented to my husband that the normal person could not handle the dressing. Next, they served the nigiri separate from the rolls. I thought this was a bit odd. I like to have all my sushi served together. Minor thing though. The tuna was pretty good. It seemed fresh, but the rice was horrible. It was so thick and sticky that I had to wipe it off my teeth. Yuck! When the rolls came out - they were HUGE. It look me three bites to eat one piece, and again the extra sticky rice, just kept expanding in my stomach. Normally, my husband and I can throw back four rolls, if they are of a manageable size, but we couldn't even finish two of the rolls from Oishi. Beware - they serve a lot of rolls with "krab." I am always suspect of a place that serves imitation crap, especially when the ocean is 500 yards away. We avoided the rolls with "krab." Also - they don't have gluten free soy sauce, no full bar, and a sad selection of wine. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to this establishment if you are looking for a good meal. We were pretty disappointed,

Deep fried watercress salad with shrimp and chuckie, a bit like crispy seaweed back home which you just cannot get in USA. Delish and huge $10. Pablo had fried rice, tasty. 5 mins from the crib, Oishi is A-OK and we will go back...all the usual thai fodder on the menu but definitely a couple of surprises in there. Also cucumber wraps, yum.

Disappointing dinner after great appetizer. W should have stopped after the sampler appetizer platter. Sushi, soup and curry were mediocre and we are experienced with all of these foods. Neighboring table of Asians sent three of their dishes back. Servers could not keep up after the place became packed.

Ordered take out. Food was ready when we got there. The food was good had Pad King ginger perfect, spider roll (which could have been better presented), spicy seafood fried rice was very good, I was not expecting all of the variety of seafood. All of the sauces were great! The only fallback was the spider roll that's why the four instead of five.

Good Food, good atmosphere. Nothing I can't get at home, but still good to see it in this area. My wife got her typical Sweet & Sour Chicken, it was different than she is used to, but liked it. The place was dead for a Tuesday evening. No surprise during the start of the off season.

My husband and I tried this for the first time tonight after living in PCB for 2 years. It was delicious!! We ordered massaman curry and pad see ew, both with chicken. They were both super fresh and so tasty!! We will definitely be going back!!

My sister in law is Thai and if she would have been with us for this meal, she would have walked out as we should have. The "fresh spring rolls" consisted of iceberg lettuce with a few shreds of carrot and, - wait for it - julienned apple slices!!!! NO KIDDING. That was the filling inside the rice paper rolls! The red curry someone else at my table ordered had sauce that was like pink water with a few soggy vegetables thrown in. The dressing for my cucumber salad was inedible. It tasted less of a light, tasty salad and more of overpowering salty fish sauce. All in all, this place was horrible. The only upside was since I did not eat the cucumber salad or spring rolls and asked for them to be taken off the bill, they obliged. The person who ordered the beef salad said it was the worst he ever had. Too bad - we were looking for some good Thai food. Missed out big time on this place.

Second time here this week and with good reason. Once again food and service was amazing. Has the crispy duck and it was fabulous. You can choose the heat you want n your sauce. My friend went for a higher number than me and she wS extremely happy. Fabulous place.

2 1/2 really. Make up your mind. Are you a sushi bar or a Thai restaurant? And train your waitresses! The Tom Ka Kai soup was very good. The Tom Yum soup not so great. For the Panang Curry, I should have just gone for the chicken, not the talapia. Don't make my mistake. The combo appetizer plate was both good and bad. The Crab Rangoon were lite and delightful. The pot stickers were vulcanized to inedibility. I didn't have any complaints from either of the two who had Chicken Teriyaki, The salad was good as were the Spring Rolls. My son had a Chicken Tempura roll (why?) He didn't eat it. His infant son enjoyed the carrot and celery, though. Service was subpar from one waitress, ours, of course. But the other waitress stepped in to try to fix things like missing parts of platters and a massive check screw-up that included someone else's table's bill being placed on our card and delivered to us to sign and them being given my card. Followup: Only ate half my Panang Talapia the other night and took the rest home. Ate it several days later. Guess what? It improved over time. Several days of siting in the sauce and a reheat and it was much better.

I am so happy I found this place. I haven't liked too many food options here in Panama city beach, Florida, but this is going on my list. The food is really good and the portion was decent. During our next visit I will make this a stop.

I come here at least once a week for the Pad Kee Mao, my favorite Thai recipe there. They also have good curry dishes, too. I haven't tried the sushi, yet, but the Thai dishes are terrific so I stick with them (for now). Most places have a spice rating 1-10, Oishi goes with the 1-5. Great friendly service, my glass is never empty and the prices are quite fair for a restaurant right across from the beach. If you need a break from beach burgers and bar food, highly recommend Oishi.

Ordered take out. Price was right. Tom Yum (shrimp lemongrass) soup was good. Garlic Pork & Pad Eggplant - both could have been spicier. More of a black pepper taste than Thai spice, but I will go back. I'll try the curry next time.

My first time having sushi in Panama City beach and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is nice. But let's get right to the point, the sushi is good. You're getting what you pay for here. The prices are reasonable when it comes to sushi. They don't have large Sapporos which almost made me cry. My parents also enjoyed it and it was my dad's first time ever trying it

As always, the food is really good and the service is the best that you will find anywhere. American servers could learn a lesson from the sweet and helpful waitresses here on how to treat people. Pad Thai is usually an American favorite but don't be afraid to try any of their other dishes. Reasonable prices, great food and wonderful service. It is such a pleasure to go to Oishi.

  • Daylon H.

Pros: Food was absolutely delicious (chef specially made me a spicy tuna roll, I highly recommend along with the Thai glass noodle soup...yum!...had to get some to go) and the wait staff was friendly Cons: Well, I had to pay twice because the person ringing us up kept insisting that the first person to pay in our group of 6 walked out on her ticket (I watched her pay...) So on a 25 dollar meal I ended up paying around $50...oh well I don't mind helping out a little mom and pop joint that has great food Consensus: I highly recommend if you like sushi, every bodies' rolls were very aesthetically pleasing, along with delicious, I didn't try any of the noodle dishes, but our neighbors' looked delicious, I also tried my friends' seafood fried rice. Though, I wouldn't recommend if you have a big group and every body is splitting the ticket.

First experience was ok. It was quite warm in the restaurant, and service was not great. I had Pad Thai with shrimp, and a spicy tuna roll. Food alone would be 4 stars, but I was sweating while eating. Never fun..

5 stars, nice place on the inside, friendly quick service best part was the FOOD, pad tai mmm some of the best I have ever had. The prices are GREAT for this area with an entree costing like 9.99 this place is a must! no joke, enjoy

Went here on the recommendation of the owner of another restaurant here in PCB and I'm sure glad I did. I had the Oishi roll which was great and hardly left me enough room for the Panang curry. I managed to cram it all in, though. I'll definitely be back, can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Excellent food and service. Best and freshest Tom kha Kai soup I've ever had. The whole family of six enjoyed the Thai and sushi dishes we ordered. Even great cold from fridge at lunch following day.

Not bad if you are in a pinch. We stopped here for a quick lunch and the food was ok. Pretty expensive considering lunch. We have better thai places in and around Overland Park, KS than here. It is a split sushi/thai joint. Waitresses were ok and not as friendly as I would anticipate for a tourist area. Anyway, I'll only come here again if I'm in a pinch. Food was good but overly priced for the portions that you pay for. My three stars is more of a slightly better than neutral rating that I give this place.

The first time I visited the restaurant, my friend and I were the only patrons. I believe this is the case because of its lack of curb appeal and somewhat random location. It is certainly not because of service or food quality, because both are superb. The restaurant appears to be family-owned. The green papaya salad is one of the best (and prettiest) I've had and I would also recommend the noodle dishes and mussaman curry. There are great options for vegans, and I would recommend it as the best Thai option for those in PCB. Wine and beer is available.

The sushi was perhaps the best I've ever had. Very fresh and the presentation was excellent. The waiter was extremely appreciative and helpful. If you are looking for sushi in PCB area, this one is a great choice.

Totally yums place a stone's throw from the beach. We came in off season and the food came lightning fast - you could smell it cooking the entire time and our mouths watered in anticipation. My dish was ordered medium and was perfectly spiced. Sweet and sour veggies for the kids to share was perfect. The waitress even brought out a small plate of fruit for our one-year-old to munch on. The Jasmine tea is presented in a blooming tea ball in a glass pitcher - an elegant touch. Probably the best Thai I've had since leaving northern CA.

Food was excellent as was the service, we all had the Thai menu however the sushi roll-on the next table looked wonderful. Probably will not come back to PCB after two visits however if I do there is every possibility I will eat at Oishi.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it sure is good. My husband and I both enjoyed our food. I had the Basil Chicken and he got the Massaman Curry. The staff is very nice and helpful. We were the only people there which seemed strange bc/ it is so good.

This is our favorite Thai place on the West end of the beaches. It doesn't look like much from the outside, or even the inside for that matter, but the food is outstanding. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Love the pad thai, pad woo sen, all of the curries, and others. Highly recommended.

Oishi has an extensive menu which features all kinds of authentic Thai cuisine. Sushi is another delight at Oishi; it's fresh and tasty with a delicate texture. The prices are reasonable, and services are friendly - it's undoubtedly the best Asian fusion restaurant in Panama City, Florida.
